Hello from this adorable angel Lexi! Lexi’s family consists of parents guardians Sean and Diana and has a little brother named Adam! Lexi was born 30 weeks premature making her an incredible NICU strong Preemie Strong baby!
Unique Quality/Trait(s): Today, she is a happy, healthy, saucy and totally perfect eight year old. She is in level 3 swimming, a lover of winter ski hills and Canadian ice on her skates, mountain bikes down slopes her mommy would never attempt, and can hold her on on the tennis courts. She reads above grade level and always so curious about the world around her.
Child’s Strengths: Lexi is the kindest, most empathetic child we know with a GREAT sense of humour. She is an amazing big sister to her brother and finds a way to brighten everyone’s day.
Greatest Accomplishments: Lexi was born at 1010 grams (2.2 lbs) at 30 weeks gestation. She persevered through being resuscitated, necrotizing enterocolitis (intestines neocrotizing/dying), allergic colitis (requiring mommy to need to pump for 7 months on a full elimination diet), severe gastroesophageal reflux disease (which caused an acute life threatening event, resulting in rehospitalization), a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA – hole in her heart), cysts in her brain and 73 days days in the NICU.
At first glance and given her precocious nature, you would never know what she has persevered through!
